Security training

At Metro Guards (UK) Limited, all applicants for employment with the company are rigorously vetted to B.S.7858 standard. This takes into account the previous 10 years, personnel and professional referees and financial status checks.

Becoming fully qualified

Preference is given to applicants with a background in the armed forces or the police. Successful applicants then attend the Security Industry Training Organisation (S.I.T.O.) training course 'Static & Patrol Guard Duties'. All trainees that are successful from this course then attend a company induction training course, prior to being assigned to work on site.

Recruits rigorously checked

The training consists of roles and responsibilities of security guard/door supervisors and conflict management with two exams at the end and the papers being marked externally.

Only fully trained, vetted and SIA licensed guards are employed to meet our very strict recruitment procedures.
